Optimum Well Placement in Challenging Thin Carbonate Reservoir – New Approach

With the 2017 theme of Petrophysics- Harnessing Knowledge & Technology to Empower the Upstream Industry, the newly established Society of Petrophysicist and Well Log Analyst (SPWLA) Saudi Arabia Chapter (SAC) conducted its first technical luncheon on 28 March 2017 at the Auditorium of the Saudi Aramco Exploration and Petroleum Engineering Center. The event was hosted by Dr. Tareq Ghamdi, the Chapter President, and opened by Mr. Khalid Zainalabedin, Manager of Saudi Aramco Reservoir Description & Simulation Department, and Mr. Nedhal Musharfi, General Supervisor of Saudi Aramco Reservoir Description Division. Mr. Asim Mumtaz, Baker Hughes Saudi Arabia Reservoir Navigation Manager, delivered a lively talk on Optimum Well Placement in Challenging Thin Carbonate Reservoir – A New Approach. More than 70 professionals including Saudi Aramco and Service Companies upper management participated in this historical event.
