What we do

A meeting place for the subsurface

Monthly technical luncheons, full-day workshops, joint topical conferences with sister chapters, and a steady drumbeat of publications and student outreach. The Chapter exists to make petrophysics in the region visible, social, and forward-leaning.

Technical meetings

Monthly luncheons in Dhahran and Al-Khobar with global guest speakers — covering new technologies in shaly sands, carbonates, low-resistivity pay, and beyond.

Topical workshops

One- and two-day workshops on the science driving the industry — digital rock, machine learning, transition minerals, and the future of formation evaluation.

Students & YPs

A working partnership with the SPWLA KFUPM, KAUST, and KSU Student Chapters and a Young Professionals programme that builds the next generation of formation evaluators.
