Dr. Faisal N Enezi
Dr. Faisal N EneziPresident
Dr. Faisal N Enezi is a Petroleum Engineering Specialist and head of Gas Reservoir Description team at Saudi Aramco. Faisal is the current SPWLA Saudi Arabia Chapter President. Faisal held several technical and management positions in the areas of exploration, production, and reservoir management. In 2001, Faisal received his B.S. degree in Petroleum Engineering from King Saud University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He received his M.S. and PhD degrees in Petroleum Engineering from West Virginia University, USA, in 2011 and 2017.
Shouxiang Mark Ma
Shouxiang Mark MaVP Technology
S. Mark Ma is a Senior Consultant at Saudi Aramco. Before joining Aramco in 2000, Mark worked at Exxon Production Research, Western Research Ins., and Petroleum Recovery Research Center. Ma received his BSc from China Petroleum University, MSc and PhD from New Mexico Tech, all in petroleum engineering. Mark serves as SPWLA VP Publications and Chief Editor of Petrophysics and SPWLA Saudi Chapter VP for technical programs. He was a JPT Editor, SPWLA Regional Director, SPE FE Award Committee Chair, SPE ATCE FE Chair, and IPTC Ed Week Co-Chair. Ma was awarded SPE MENA FE award, SPE Distinguished Membership award, SPWLA Distinguished Service award, and SPWLA Distinguished Technical Achievement award.
Marie Van Steene
Marie Van SteeneVP Technology
Marie Van Steene is a principal petrophysicist and is presently LWD Petrophysics Domain Champion for SLB Well Construction Measurements in Saudi Arabia. Marie graduated in 2000 with a MSc in Mechanical Engineering from Ecole Centrale Paris and Universite Libre de Bruxelles. She started in 2000 with SLB as a Wireline Field Engineer and went on to work in Australia, New Zealand and India. She started her petrophysics career in 2006 in Malaysia. She then worked in Egypt and Kuwait and moved to Saudi Arabia in 2016. Her interests include formation evaluation in open hole and cased hole. She has been a leader of the SLB Dielectric and NMR special interest groups for several years. She is now a leader of the SLB carbonate evaluation special interest group.
Amjed Mohammed Hassan Sheikh Mohamed

Dr. Amjed Hassan works as a Research Engineer III in the Petrophysics group at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM). He earned his PhD in Petroleum Engineering from KFUPM in 2020. Dr. Hassan filed several patents and published 90+ articles in international conferences and peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Hassan serves as editor and reviewer for several ISI journals. He has won SPE, SPWLA, and KFUPM research contests. Also, He received 12+ awards from Schlumberger company, SPWLA, and SPE. Dr. Hassan is an active member of the SPE, SPWLA, EAGE, and DGS societies.
Ahmed Abouzaid

Ahmed Abouzaid, a Formation Evaluation Subject Matter Expert, serves as the Regional Director for RTS at Baker Hughes and holds the position of Vice President of Information Technology at SPWLA-SAC. With over 22 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, Ahmed has a proven track record in well logging, petrophysics, and reservoir characterization. He actively contributes to industry knowledge through published papers on formation evaluation and is involved with professional groups like the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), the Society of Well Log Analysts (SPWLA), and the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG). His technical acumen, communication skills, and problem-solving abilities make him an invaluable team member, dedicated to providing top-tier solutions and fostering enduring professional relationships
Kehinde Fakolujo

Kehinde (Kenny) Fakolujo joined Saudi Aramco in 2009 as Senior Petrophysicist in the Reservoir Description and Simulation Department. He started his career with Shell E&P Company in 1997 where he worked at various time as Operations, Assets, Development and Studies Petrophysicist on Integrated Reservoir Modeling, Resistivity inversion, electro facies modeling, petrosteering /geosteering planning and support, core-log data integration, uncertainty analysis and VOI, thin-bed and shaly-sand evaluation using industry approved standard evaluation and interpretation software packages. He graduated with a B.S. Hons degree in Physics with specialization in Solid State Physics from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria. His current area of interest and specialization include development of formation evaluation while drilling (FEWD) tool in slim hole underbalanced wells, and the impact of formate mud systems on wireline log response in both clastic and carbonate reservoirs. He is Petroleum Engineering Specialist.
Ahmed Hafez

Ahmed Hafez is a Senior Geoscience Advisor with 20+ years in oil and gas industry, currently serves as Regional Manager at Halliburton Core Analysis (INGRAIN). With expertise in Operation Management, Business Development, and Formation Evaluation, he held pivotal roles at Weatherford. Transitioning to Halliburton in 2019, Ahmed now leads Digital and Physical Core Analysis initiatives along with Geoscience Advanced Solutions and Special Studies. He holds degrees in Geology & Chemistry from Cairo University and a Master of Business Administration from University of Hull, UK, and has been actively contributing to SPWLA and SPE
Krishnendu Ghosh
Krishnendu GhoshTechnical Advisor & Web Master
Krishnendu Ghosh currently serves as the Analysis & Interpretation Manager for Saudi Arabia at SLB. Over his 17-year tenure with SLB, he has worked in 8 different locations across 4 countries: Oman, India, United States, and Saudi Arabia. His journey began as a Wireline Field Engineer, and he later transitioned to a technical role as a Senior Petrophysics Technical Consultant. He achieved the prestigious Gold Medal for his Master of Science Technology degree from the Indian Institute of Technology-Indian School of Mines, specializing in Applied Geology. Additionally, he is an esteemed recipient of the Hayden Medal from The Mining, Geological & Metallurgical Institute of India.
Carlos A Vargas

Carlos A. Vargas Caña is a seasoned petrophysicist, with over 28 years in the Oil & Gas industry. His expertise extends across complex reservoirs in Central and South America, Kuwait, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Bahrain. Carlos excels in Petrophysical evaluations for conventional clastic/NFR carbonate and unconventional reservoirs (shale oil/gas, tight gas sand), Well log analysis using Geoframe ELAN, Interactive Petrophysic, and Techlog. His expertise encompasses handling OH/CH tools and leading multicultural teams with excellent communication skills. Carlos also managed Weatherford product lines: Weatherford LABS (Rock and Fluid), Weatherford Reservoir Solutions, and Weatherford Reservoir Software.
Yasmina Kechida
Yasmina Kechida Secretary
Yasmina Kechida joined Saudi Aramco in 2009. She is currently Lead Geologist in the Southern Area Reservoir Characterization Department. Yasmina is in charge of geological and petrophysical studies. She received two Master’s degrees one in Geochemistry from the University of Paris XI in 2001, and a second one in Petroleum Geology from the IFP School in 2005.
Milton Sanclemente

Milton Sanclemente is a Formation Evaluation Domain at Geolog International for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Bahrain in charge of the service delivery, integrated interpretation, and client technical support for all the advanced surface logging technologies in Saudi Arabia. With over 10 years of experience in the oil industry, he started his career as reservoir engineer in South America and joined Geolog International in 2018. Milton earned a BSc degree in Petroleum Engineering from National University of Colombia in 2012 and a MSc degree in Finance from EAFIT University in 2019.
Ahmed Bahgat Hegazy

Ahmed holds a bachelor’s degree in Geology and Chemistry from Cairo University since 2006, with over 17 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. His career began in 2006 as a Mud Logging Geologist and Data Engineer at Datalog Ltd. in Saudi Arabia. In 2012, he was appointed as a service delivery representative, directly collaborating with Saudi Aramco’s Reservoir Description Division on Unconventional, Exploration, and Gas development projects. Subsequently, he served as a Field Operation Supervisor for Weatherford SLS Saudi Arabia, gaining valuable market insights. Later, as Technical Sales Manager for SLS Saudi Arabia, he engaged in daily meetings, enhancing his understanding of formation evaluation challenges. Recently, in 2021, he became the Regional Advanced Services Sales Manager for Excellence Logging Middle East, further expanding his market intelligence and tailoring solutions for customer challenges.
Dr. Taha Okashah

Dr. Taha Okashah is a Sr. Geoscientist Advisor at Halliburton, with 26+ years experience in coring, core analysis, and reservoir characterization. He holds a BSc and MSc in Engineering Geology from Suez Canal University and KFUPM, respectively, and a Ph.D. in Petroleum Engineering from KFUPM. Dr. Okasha is renowned for his expertise in physical and digital rock technology, scanning electron microscopy, and rock mechanics, with 4 patents and over 40 published papers.
Sameer Mostafa El Saed

Sameer Mostafa works as regional business development manager for Scientific Drilling International in Saudi Arabia, He holds master’s degree in petroleum engineering from Heriot Watt University and B.Sc in Geoscience and Chemistry from Cairo University, he has been in the oil and gas industry for 12+ years started his role as cased hole Petro physicist with TGT Diagnostics in Oman and joined Scientific Drilling as Well Log Analyst.
Bicheng Yan

Bicheng Yan, an Assistant Professor in Energy Resources and Petroleum Engineering, focuses on physics-driven and data-driven modeling for complex subsurface processes related to energy and environmental domains. His research spans various areas, including reservoir simulation, multi-porosity modeling for flow and transport in heterogeneous porous media (with a primary focus on shale formations), and integrating physics with data analytics in unconventional fields and carbon storage management. Additionally, he contributes to history matching and stochastic optimization efforts. He is Postdoctoral Research Associate at Los Alamos National Lab (2020-2021) and holds Ph.D. degree in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University (2017).
Sherif Ghadiry

Sherif Ghadiry, the Domain Champion Petrophysics at SLB, is responsible for leading technical excellence and innovation in the petrophysics domain across multiple regions and business lines. With over 15 years of experience in petroleum engineering and well logging, Sherif holds a master’s degree in petroleum engineering from Heriot-Watt University. His mission revolves around delivering high-quality petrophysical solutions and services that align with the needs and expectations of clients and stakeholders. Sherif collaborates with cross-functional teams, partners, and experts to develop and implement best practices, standards, and workflows for petrophysical data acquisition, interpretation, and integration. Additionally, he actively contributes to the growth and development of the petrophysics talent pool and community within SLB.
Ehsan Murad Hasan

Ehsan Murad Hasan, an experienced professional, has a demonstrated history of working in the renewables and environment industry, with a strong oil and gas background. He possesses skills in sales, revenue, profit growth, management, petrophysics, and technical writing. Ehsan is a strong consulting professional with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, focusing on artificial intelligence, communication systems, power systems, and fiber optics.
